Through the internet and social media came the invention of the selfie. The selfie and self has become an everyday ritual most users engage on through technological devices or their reflection. 

The repetitive scrolling, comparing ones perception of themselves to others, constant analyzing and snapping the pic. It can be addicting and prompted further into obsessiveness that becomes ones mileu. My everyday makeup routine is a reaction to the compulsiveness and absurdity for validation on the internet that seeps into reality played out with surrendering to the chaos of the unknown .
