SELF PORTRAITS taken in March of 2023 in Chicago, Illinois.

This project was an experiment that investigated my relationship with the waste I produce and the material world. It became a conversation with myself about the role I have in climate change. With mass consumption and drive for production only increasing, questions must be asked of what is next? Where will all our waste go? How is this affecting the planet and people that are being exploited for cheap labor? How can we slow down climate change? and will enough be enough? This project didn't give me clear solutions. It did help me acknowledge that this is a real crisis and is not going to disappear. Not for myself or any living human being. The choices we make no matter big or small effect the planet. We are all interconnected and we must become aware of our choices and actions.

This is the first step.
